Gallery2 integration back on site and upgraded to 2.3

With the Gallery2 integration (with Drupal 6) upgraded on this site, that's pretty much the whole upgrade process on this site now completed. The upgrade wasn't too bad, i had to upgrade Gallery to 2.3 to get it working on Drupal 6. I did lose my old custom theme for the Gallery page so will need to rebuilt it again. Will leave this until tomorrow when i have time.

Documentation to follow on the upgrade process. Stay tuned... Read more about Gallery2 integration back on site and upgraded to 2.3

Upgrading duvien.com from Drupal 5 to 6

Drupal 5 to 6

I've been needing to do this for a long time because Drupal 6 is so much nicer to work with. So over the weekend, i've finally upgraded this site from Drupal 5 to Drupal 6. This was done on a local test server. It wasn't a straightforward process and encountered a few minor errors but it all went well. Some issues on existing site were also fixed after upgrade (only noticed those issues while working on the upgrade). Read more about Upgrading duvien.com from Drupal 5 to 6

Article in the NYTimes

I quoted the last paragraph of the article because i just love how he puts it in words about Drupal (but also applies to many other open source projects). Read more about For Fans of Drupal, a Time to Meet and Talk Code

Transform by Zack Arias

I came across this video produced by Zack Arias (photographer) and it was refreshing to hear it from someone genuine and sincere about his own experience struggling to be creative (at times). Something we all have felt before and it never really leaves you behind.
