Drupal versus Wordpress
I have been toying with the idea of starting a Drupal site. To this point I have mainly worked with Wordpress. My coding knowledge has improved since using Wordpress and wanting to add components or customize items. I have heard that Drupal is not for people that do not know much about coding but I wonder if part of this new version it is more user friendly for non programmers?
Thanks

I generally find that to be a myth. Sure, drupal does have a bit of a learning curve but there are enough modules out there for everything without needing to code your own features. It just takes a little bit more time to build them together. This is the thing that separates Drupal from other CMS is that you don't get pre-configured features ready to be installed. For example, to add a gallery, this requires several different modules (that depend on each other) rather than just one big module/extension to handle it. The idea is that this provides more flexibility to alter your gallery.
In terms of the admin section of the site, Drupal has improved a lot in version 7. It has made the UI a bit more manageable and additional features to make it more attractive to end-users have been included, such as media handling and installing modules from admin backend. However in terms of site building and development, it's still remains relatively the same.
