What 'unformatted' in Views Style should have been
One of the things i find very annoying and somewhat misleading when using Views 2 Style called 'unformatted' is that it still assumes that you mean giving you a prefined set of CSS classes along with the Views output.
I've always argued to many friends and work colleagues that 'unformatted' should mean just providing the raw Views variables for us to use so we can theme it up ourselves by applying our own HTML markup or CSS instead of letting Views provide the required pre-defined CSS classes. It's the same when using HTML list.
Of course, this could have been done using Views theming but going thru this process is cumbersome and a bit elaborate especially when you only want to markup a title to be a HTML heading
Hopefully, these days are now behind us as you can see from the video above. Using a module called Semantic Views we can now apply our own markup or CSS. It also means that our output of the Views to the web browser is now looking much cleaner and less bloated with un-needed CSS classes.
I am hoping this module will get into Views and replace the core Row Style 'unformatted'.

You really, really don't like Views eh?
Guess I'm too used to being all hackerish - but that heads up on Semantic Views looks like a good thing, time to read up on it!
Never said i don't like
Never said i don't like Views. In fact, i love it and i probably wouldn't have used Drupal if Views never existed.
Just like a moan about some little annoyances that you find in Views some times :)
Saved me a heap of time.
Dude this module is awesome and should definitely be a part of Views. Theming a view is way too cumbersome without this module.
