Cottages and Castles Ltd have been helping customers find great holiday rentals since 1983. Their attention to details and wide range of properties have made them one of the largest self-catering company in Scotland. Cottages and Castles Ltd is part of CKD Galbraith – one of Scotland’s leading independent property consultancies. This was a highly complex site build. The existing system was an old legacy system which needed to be completely re-factored so that more modern standards could be added.

It was a high traffic sites consisting of many different custom 3rd party systems. The main goal was to overhaul the customer front facing site and migrate it to Drupal to take care of site content.

Their legacy booking system had to be kept due to the large amount of data and it was efficient so an interface had to be created to allow both systems to communicate with each other.

Maps were created for easy search of properties by location and better SEO incorporated into the site.
